Male incontinence, better known as bladder leakage, is a fairly common medical condition but particularly difficult to discuss openly.

An estimated 10% of American men experience incontinence and yet the stigma associated with the condition often contributes to patients feeling embarrassed, isolated and depressed.

This is in line with a number of health conditions that have an adverse impact on men due to longstanding social stigmas, including mental illness and erectile dysfunction.

Since November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, two campaigns have recently launched to tackle male incontinence, empower patients and get them the care resources they need.

First, adult incontinence product Depend reupped its Stand Strong for Men’s Health effort for a fifth year in order to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
