How to get rid of all those political yard signs [Video]

Now that the election is over, there is some good news, no matter who you voted for the bombardment of television, radio, social media and internet ads is over.

One of the other things that will start to disappear over the next several days are all of the political signs strewn across the landscape.

The City of Pittsburgh has announced that yard sign recycling is taking place Monday through Friday at 3301 Railroad Street in the Strip District.

The city says neighborhood cleanups, organizations and individuals “must collect and deliver the signs to our office” from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Do NOT drop signs at the 31st Street location or any other city drop-off centers,” the city adds.

Those with plastic bag-like signs can take the plastic to a grocery stores’ recycling collection container.

Paper slips inside the signs can be added to your recycling.
