INDIANAPOLIS — As the penultimate week of the Operation Football regular season concludes, there’s still a chance for some significant shakeups in the Associated Press rankings before sectionals begin on Oct. 25.
Class 6A No. 8 Hamilton Southeastern fell to unranked conference rival Franklin Central, which will likely drop the Royals from the top-10 due to Columbus North’s double overtime win over 5A No. 5 Bloomington North and Elkhart’s shutout of Mishawaka Marian.
Meanwhile, in Class 2A, fourth-ranked Western Boone were handed their first loss of the season to conference rival Danville. The Warriors just missed the top-ten rankings in 2A, but handing the fourth-ranked team in the class should move them up next week.
