After two years, Young Thug (real name: Jeffrey Williams) successfully fought for his prison release. Following a nearly year-long trial, the rapper pleaded guilty to multiple gang, drug and gun-related charges. As part of the agreement, Young Thug must stay away from the Atlanta metro area for the first 10 years of his probation, except for special occasions and family emergencies. A judge imposed a 40-year sentence with the first five years commuted to he time served, according to the Associated Press. The sentence is followed by 15 years of probation. If the rapper completes the probation, another 20 years will be commuted to time served, the AP reported.
