MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — It’s been a bizarre political season.
After a disastrous debate in June, President Joe Biden stepped out of the race in July and was replaced by Vice President Kamala Harris. It is a move that could impact the Alabama District 2 congressional race in November.

Political analysts said Democrats know that Donald Trump will win Alabama. But now with Biden out and Harris in, they may have new motivation to go to the polls.
“Now, you not only have replaced him with a better candidate, but you’ve put in a female Black candidate in a district that has 52% African-American voters,” Jon Gray, a political strategist from Mobile who has managed dozens of campaigns, mostly for Republican candidates, said. “And by the way, 55% of that district is female. It’s a double whammy.”
