How Huawei is helping MTN South Africa achieve its strategic vision [Video]

Each year in November, Africa Tech Festival, hosted in Cape Town South Africa, serves as the meeting place for the continent’s top minds in the telecommunications industry.

The 2024 iteration was no different, with key players from the public and private sector engaging on how connectivity can be improved for all, as well as new technologies being showcased to shape the future of telecommunications moving forward.

Two such players present at Africa Tech Festival 2024 were Huawei and MTN South Africa.

Our editor, Robin-Leigh Chetty, sat down with MTN SA’s Calvin Govender (pictured above), general manager for Enterprise Connectivity and Digital Services, to discuss how the carrier is focusing on achieving its strategic vision, and how technology from Huawei is helping it do so.

Having recently achieved the status of being the best network service operator in Africa, Govender was buoyant over the steps MTN SA has taken to reach that point.
