How can Steuben County residents impacted by flooding get help? [Video]

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. (WETM) — Steuben County is encouraging its residents who are dealing with damages after Friday’s severe storms to ask for help.

The Steuben County Office of Emergency Management says that residents who need help should call 211 and give their address, contact information, and the type of damages they’re experiencing. Callers will be connected with the community service organization that can best help them.

After calling 211, residents who are able to should fill out the Damage Self Report Tool from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. This form isn’t an application for relief, but it will help local and state officials identify areas with damage.
