The House is scheduled to vote Thursday on a $4 billion economic development bill that would advance the pitch to build a soccer stadium in Everett, Massachusetts. The legislation would remove the 43-acre site of the old power plant from a “designated port area,” which means, at present, it could only be used for industrial use. The plan is for the toxic site to be cleaned up to build a stadium for the New England Revolution across from Encore Boston Harbor.The bill would also require the Kraft Group to secure community impact agreements with both Everett and Boston.”Look around.
