NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) — Harvey County residents got ready for the school year by getting free backpacks, school supplies and more on Saturday.
Hope Harvey County was held at the Chisholm Trail Shopping Center in Newton, and is in collaboration with Hope Wichita, which did the same event in Wichita last week.

Hundreds were able to get their students geared up with backpacks and get prepared for the upcoming school year.
Hope Wichita hopes to expand the annual outreach event to even more areas next year.
