HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — Hoover residents are coming together to make their voices heard about a proposed development project at the intersection of Highway 280 and Cahaba Valley Road.
The proposed mixed-use development on a 30-acre lot at Tattersall Park was granted a continuance by the city’s planning and zoning commission last week.
A survey started by a woman who lives near the proposed development at Tattersall Park is gathering opinions from the community. The goal is to share the information gathered with the developers, Hoover City Council and Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato.
“People want to share about what they want in that area,” said Ashley Lovell, who started the survey.
Lovell started the petition against EBSCO’s proposal for Tattersall Park. She said the residents in her neighborhood are not against development but want to have a voice in the process.
“We want to find a solution to work together,” Lovell said. …
