Homeowners in Henderson granted more time to pay city back for pipe repairs [Video]

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Somerset Park homeowners who needed emergency water pipes repairs last summer in Henderson have received good news.

Those homeowners will get a little extra time to pay back the city who fronted the bill repair the broken pipes.

Last summer, homes in the Somerset Park townhome community needed emergency repairs after damage was caused to the water distribution system.

The city of Henderson determined that residents could not live there unless urgent repairs were made, but the property management company at the time claimed it did not have the funds for the repair. The city ultimately decided to pay off the bill to ensure residents would not be forced out of their homes. Each homeowner would be required to pay back the city about $8,000 for the repairs.
