Holiday Hoops Classic high school basketball event returns [Video]

One of the biggest and best holiday basketball events in the state is back for its 13th season.

And once again, it will be smack dab in Kenosha’s backyard.

The annual Doctors of Physical Therapy Holiday Hoops Classic returns to Carthage College and UW-Parkside for a jam-packed, three-night high school basketball extravaganza Thursday, Dec. 26 through Dec. 28.

“This event is the best holiday classic in the state,” said John Lynn, the event’s director. “From the community, family, friends, sponsors, officials, ADs, coaches, all the way down to the bus driver.

Westosha Central’s Elijah Griffin moves to the hoop during a game against Case last year’s Holiday Classic at Carthage College on Dec. 29, 2023.

“A lot of things die out, and 13 years is a big thing. When you have 32 ball games in three days, I’m proud of that. It all comes together, and it’s a great night.”
