Chris Hines is a passionate advocate for positive environmental change, who is currently the owner of A Grain Of Sand. Sitting at the helm of the organisation, Chris has long made it his mission to empower sustainability strategies and environmental action and is now booked as a sustainability and environment speaker for corporate events.

Before becoming the owner of A Grain Of Sand, Chris was the founding Director of Surfers Against Sewage. Setting up the foundation in the 1990s, Chris was passionate to create an organisation dedicated to marine conservation, clean oceans and campaigns against ocean pollution. Sitting at the helm of the charity for a decade, Chris was then appointed as the Director of Sustainability for The Eden Projectin 2001.
