SPRING VALLEY, Minn. – According to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, the job industry in southeastern Minnesota is continuing to positively climb post-pandemic.
In response to that, Kingsland High School is helping students create connections with local businesses through its second annual Career Expo in partnership with Spring Valley Area Chamber of Commerce. The expo featured 20 different businesses that students grades 9th through 12th were able to interact with.
Spring Valley Area Chamber of Commerce secretary Tyler Anderson says, “I think it gives them more perspective on what’s available in their own backyard and just having more awareness of what’s around them and what opportunities are available to them.”
The tables featured an array of different career paths, giving students the ability to find things they are interested in.
