High River’s Balloon Festival cautions attendees of ticket scam – OkotoksOnline.com [Video]

Anyone planning on attending Balloon Glow at this year’s Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival should be wary of ticket scams.

A Facebook post on the Balloon Festival page warns that someone is attempting to fraudulently sell tickets to the event on the event website Showpass.

Since the community event is free to attend, its organizers are cautioning the public of attempts from scammers to sell tickets for admission or rides.

“Our festival and events are free community events that do not require tickets or registration of any kind,” the post partially reads.

The festival runs from September 25-29, and Balloon Glow is set for Friday night starting at 5 p.m.
