Police in KwaZulu-Natal say there is a high level deployment in and around the Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium where the Umkhonto Wesizwe Party (MK) will be celebrating its first anniversary.
Thousands of supporters from various parts of the country are expected to be in attendance.
Police spokesperson Jay Naicker says they are working closely with various agencies.
“As for all the other events, the planning for such events starts weeks ahead we don’t leave it last minute. You know we’ve never had any incidents in major events in this province because we plan proactively.
“So our meeting with organises and security agencies started weeks ago just to ensure that everything is not left out for the last minute, so deployments will be focusing on routes to the stadium.
