Heres how to download your TikTok videos and data ahead of the ban

With a TikTok ban set to happen following the Supreme Court’s ruling on Friday, users now will have to retrieve their data before the ban goes into effect on Jan. 19. 

Ahead of the ban, users can request their TikTok data like your username, video downloads, likes, and comments.

To request your TikTok data

1. In the TikTok app, tap “Profile” at the bottom.
2. Select the “Menu” button at the top, then tap Settings and privacy.
3. Select “Account.”
4. Select “Download” your data.
5. Choose which information you want to include in your file to download and select a file format.
6. Tap request data.
