THE SECOND ANNUAL DOLLAR RIDGE TRAIL RUN KICKS OFF THIS SATURDAY AT 10 A.M. ON THE CAMPUS OF HAYWOOD COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN CLYDE. ORGANIZERS SAY THIS TIMED FIVE-K IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY WALK OR RUN, OPEN TO ALL SKILL LEVELS, AND THE PROCEEDS FROM TICKET SALES WILL BENEFIT TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY FUNDING FOR STUDENTS. ALL THEIR KITS FOR COSMETOLOGY OR NURSING BOOKS OR AUTOMOTIVE TOOLS, COMPUTERS, YOU NAME IT. IT’S A HUGE BURDEN FOR THE STUDENTS TO HAVE THESE, YOU KNOW, SUPPLIES THAT THEY NEED TO SUCCEED, YOU KNOW, TACKED ON TO THEIR TUITION. SO WE TRY AND HELP THEM AS MUCH AS WE CAN.
