Haw River at moderate flood level; Flood warning issued [Video]

Flooding concerns continue this morning as the Haw River in Alamance County reaches dangerous levels.According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the river level is showing moderate flooding near the cresting point.Mayor Kelly Allen said residents were urged to voluntarily evacuate. Some decided to leave, while most chose to stay. Local emergency response teams are continuing to monitor the river closely and are ready to assist if necessary.”We have a wonderful fire department, wonderful police department. The ones that were available came out and were door-knocking. It’s really great that we have such a small, wonderful community with about 2,700 residents,” Allen said. “I do feel that I’m safe.
