Hampton police investigate shooting victim [Video]

HAMPTON, Va. — The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s help in a shooting investigation.

The incident occurred on Friday, according to a press release from Hampton Police Division. At about 3:39 p.m., Hampton Public Safety Communications received a call about a walk-in gunshot victim at the Sentara Careplex. Officers responded and found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound deemed not life-threatening.

The victim said she was walking in the area of Shell Road and Bell Street when she was struck by gunfire. She then changed the location to the 2800 block of Rosalee Drive. She was unable to provide a suspect description.

This incident remains under investigation by members of the Hampton Police Major Crimes Unit.
