Halfway mark reached in 1,000 neighborhood gatherings [Video]

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Mayor Yemi Mobolade, the City of Colorado Springs, and several other community partners are over halfway to meeting the goal of the City’s summer initiative: 1,000 Neighborhood Gatherings.

The challenge is meant to tackle the crisis of mental health head-on and is an effort to address social isolation and loneliness.

Thomas Thompson, Senior Advisor of Community Affairs for the Office of the Mayor, and Joe Hollman, Marketing and Engagement Manager for the City of Colorado Springs joined FOX21 Morning News on Friday, August 2 to talk about the milestone and how to register a gathering in your neighborhood.
