Greensboro’s local restaurants are using social media, partnerships, and events to survive the winter slowdown.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Witty, clever social media posts and collaborating with other local restaurants to host events are helping some restaurant owners revitalize dining out. They said these strategies are crucial to keep their businesses afloat in the new year.
Last month, we spoke with local restaurants worried about the holiday season. They were bracing for what they expected to be a slow period.
“It’s kind of a cry for help like, ‘Hey, come help us at this time, come help us during this time. These winter months are a struggle for small, locally owned businesses,’” said Emily Purcell, co-owner of Freeman’s Grub & Pub.
“As you can see, we’re a little bit slower during lunchtime on a Saturday afternoon,” Purcell added.
