New Grants Pass Mayor Clint Scherf speaks out on his vision for the community, as four new councilors are sworn in.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. – The City of Grants Pass marked a political turning point Monday with the appointment of mayor Clint Scherf and four new councilors, moving city leadership in a more conservative direction.

Scherf and the new councilors – Indra Nicholas, Victoria Marshal, Kathleen Krohn and Erich Schloegl – took the podium to take their oath in front of dozens of community members. All lean conservative, marking a change from former mayor Sara Bristol. Scherf told NewsWatch 12 he wants to restore Grants Pass to the city he was born and raised in, emphasizing public safety and a community where people want to stay.
