MOSES LAKE, Wash. – Grant County deputies are searching for a burglary suspect who fled from officers in Moses Lake.
According to a press release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 8 p.m. to the 6000 block of Road K.5-Southeast in unincorporated Moses Lake. .
Deputies detained four people along Road K.5-Southeast, but one suspect fled on foot. Police later identified him as Eric Fuentes, 31, of Moses Lake.
Through their investigation, deputies learned that Fuentes had called a friend to help move a trailer he had purchased in the area. While towing the trailer, the tow vehicle broke down and needed a jump-start. Fuentes called another friend to assist, but when the vehicle broke down again, Fuentes knocked on the door of a nearby home to ask for help. When there was no answer, he entered the garage.
