FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV)- Grande Cheese Company and Farmers for Sustainable Food (FSF) announced a partnership recently, allowing the company to join FSF’s Climate-Smart program.
According to a press release, Farmers for Sustainable Food’s Climate-Smart program was made possible by a grant through the US Department of Agriculture’s Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities award. This program targets initiatives that are committed to sharing best practices across the industry and communicating impacts to their customers.
Managing Director for Farmers for Sustainable Food, Lauren Brey, says Grande Cheese adds great value to this program.
“We are really excited to be bringing a processor like Grande Cheese into our Farmers for Sustainable Foods Climate Smart program because it’s helping build the strength and the value of the program to the farmers who are participating,” explains Brey.
