GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. — A new pilot program at Grand Island Central School District is integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and learning every day.
Starting this school year, Grand Island Senior High School will be using artificial intelligence inside and outside the classroom. They are the only district in Western New York to have this specific program.
It’s called Khanmigo and its for their students and teachers. The AI tutor will be available for students 24-hours a day and seven days a week for the entire year.
It’s text-based so the student can type to Khanmigo and then it will type back to the student.
This is a program Grand Island Senior High School principal Hillary Kretz-Harvey has worked to get inside her district.
