GR soccer stadium to be named ‘Amway Stadium’ [Video]

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — As Grand Rapids prepares for change amid major construction projects, the new professional soccer stadium set to break ground next year officially has a name.

On Monday, Grand Action 2.0—the economic development organization behind the new stadium—announced that Amway has secured the naming rights for the stadium. It will be known as Amway Stadium.

The naming rights were secured by a $33 million gift from Amway.

“For 65 years, Amway has been dedicated to investing in the people and success of our local community,” said Amway CEO Michael Nelson. “Transformative projects like the Amway Stadium are a testament to the pride we have in our hometown, and our commitment to shaping the growth of West Michigan and beyond for generations to come.”
