Governors Step Up Engagement For SDGs Implementation [Video]

With the countdown to the complete implementation of the 2030 sustainable development goals, The Nigeria Governors Forum is stepping up its engagement and partnership with critical stakeholders that will be helpful in accelerating the achievement of these 17 global development goals set by the United Nations. 

At the 79th session of the UN general assembly in New York, subnational governments from Nigeria are in the frontline of pushing the implementation of the SDGs.

The Nigerian Governors forum are here at the UN to track the SDGs and review progress made.

They are here to learn how to effectively monitor the implementation of the SDGs as the 2030 deadline is just five years away.

The secretariat of the NGF says it has made tremendous progress, especially with setting up the SDG Desk .

The theme of this meeting is sustainable cities using technology and partnerships as accelerators to the SDGs.
