Gov. Shapiro stops in Luzerne County for Project Hazelnut [Video]

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Governor Shapiro stopped by Luzerne County on Wednesday to highlight his administration’s plan to complete more economic projects in the Commonwealth.

The Pennsylvania Permit Fast Track Program aims to streamline permitting, licensing, and certification processes for economic development and infrastructure projects.

Project Hazelnut, a technology campus in Hazle Township, is one of three projects enrolled in Fast Track.

The governor says it will create more than 900 jobs in Luzerne County.

Pennsylvania’s fast-track program also enrolls an innovation campus in Philadelphia and a community project near Altoona.
