IDAHO, USA — Idaho Governor Brad Little announced on Monday that he sent another team of Idaho State Police troopers to the southern border in Texas.
The 13 troopers are assigned to the ISP Domestic Highway Enforcement (DHE) team. The DHE Team is a narcotics task force that identifies and disrupts multi-state, and international drug trafficking organizations using an intelligence-driven and prosecutor-supported approach.
According to a press release, while in Texas, the troopers will assist the Texas Department of Public Safety in intercepting drug traffickers and human traffickers. They will take what they learn and return to Idaho to train other ISP and local law enforcement on the latest tactics being used to smuggle drugs, weapons, and people.
