Gov. Jeff Landry orders Louisiana DOTD to undergo comprehensive review [Video]

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is having a comprehensive assessment conducted by the Louisiana Legislature.

According to a release, the legislature announced it has made a contract with the Boston Consulting Group to perform the review.

Gov. Jeff Landry ordered a mandatory optimization of the department’s operations earlier this year. In the order, DOTD Secretary Joe Donahue is required to submit a comprehensive plan by Jan. 15, 2025. Landry commended the industry and legislature for their involvement.

“The collaboration between private industry, both chambers of the legislature, and my office to address this issue is a positive sign for Louisiana, and a harbinger of success,” stated Landry. “We are committed to improving DOTD’s operations and rebuilding our state’s infrastructure.”

The Louisiana Coalition to Fix Our Roads (LCFOR) met with the Boston Consulting Group to offer industry engagement for the department.
