SHANE LOWRY had the perfect response to a journalist’s question during a press conference at The Open.
The 37-year-old was in fine form after taking a two-shot lead into the weekend following a -2 round of 69 on Friday.
During the post-round press conference, he was asked by one journalist if he was a “good frontrunner.”
Lowry took a moment to consider his response before quipping with a smile: “I wouldn’t say I’m a good runner.”
Thee answer left the room of journalists and Lowry himself in stitches, with fans on social media praising him for his sense of humour.
