HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut Children’s premiere fundraiser, the Golden Ticket Gala, brought supporters and special guests to the Connecticut Convention Center for an evening of glamor in Hartford Saturday night.
“This is a wonderful event, celebrating the wonderful activities taking place at children’s, share them with the community and we raise a little money along the way,” said James E. Shmerling, Connecticut Children’s President/CEO.
There was an auction, live entertainment and a red carpet welcoming celebrities from the small screen; including a comedian and South Windsor native Brent Morin, who served as master of ceremonies.
“Tonight’s going to be about some levity and sometimes harsh situations,” Morin told News 8. ” And what they’re doing over there is unreal and the money that is getting raised for this will save lives.”
