NAPOLEONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — Another disaster recovery center has opened in Louisiana to help Assumption Parish residents who were affected by Hurricane Francine.
FEMA Media Relations Specialist Nikki Gaskins Campbell said the federal agency is ready to start the work to help disaster survivors get back on their feet.
“Residents can go there and meet with FEMA representatives who are more than happy to talk to them and find out how they may be able to assist them,” Campbell said.
With every resource available at the location, she encourages applicants to first file claims with their insurance, whether it is homeowners, renters or flood insurance.
The Small Business Administration is also lending a helping hand, partnering with FEMA to offer aid and loans to those in need. SBA spokesperson Africa Rosas said they offer financial help for physical and economic damages.
