Georgia woman 23rd person sentenced for role in Boston drug trafficking ring [Video]

A Georgia woman was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Boston for her involvement in a trafficking cocaine and cocaine base as part of a larger drug trafficking conspiracy, according to a press release from acting U.S. attorney for Massachusetts Joshua S. Levy.

Tatianna Morrissey, 39, of Atlanta, Georgia, was sentenced to nine months in prison and three years of supervised release, by U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns, the release said. On Feb. 12, Morrissey pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute cocaine base.

She was charged along with 23 others in June 2020 as part of “Operation Snowfall,” a multi-year investigation into drug trafficking activities, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
