Generations react to vintage phones [Video]

Generations react to vintage phones

In this video, Ofcom reacts to some classic pieces of tech: a rotary phone and an early mobile phone often nicknamed “the brick.”

The rotary phone was a mainstay of communication for decades, requiring users to manually dial each number by turning a dial—an experience far removed from today’s smartphones.

The “brick” mobile phone was among the first portable phones, known for its bulky size and limited features but revolutionary for its time, allowing people to make calls on the go.

Watch as Ofcom colleagues try using these devices, some for the first time ever, and experience a piece of tech history in action!
