Gender Sexuality Alliance grant awarded to five WNY schools [Video]

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Niagara Pride has announced the winners of its Gay-Straight Alliance Grant Awards, which will send $1,000 to five Western New York Schools.

The GSA grants are used to fund educational programming that supports LGBTQIA+ students helping create a diverse and inclusive environment at schools.

Barker Junior and Senior high schools, North Tonawanda Senior High School, and Starpoint Middle School won the Niagara County GSA Grant and will have the funds given to their respective Gay-Straight Alliances, also known as Gender Sexuality Alliances at local middle and high schools.

In addition to the Niagara County grant, Niagara Pride also issues a Rural WNY Grant.

This year Cattaraugus Little Valley High School and Pavilion Central School District were the winners and will receive $750 each from the organization.
