The internet has rallied around a millennial woman who stood up for a teenage grocery store worker after a middle-aged woman criticized her to the point of tears.
Reddit user u/Anno_Pri24, a 35-year-old woman, shared her experience on the “Am I The A*****” (AITAH) forum after confronting a middle-aged customer who was giving a young cashier a hard time. The post quickly went viral, earning 20,000 upvotes and a wave of support.
“The cashier seemed a bit flustered. I could tell she was probably new, making a few mistakes here and there, but nothing serious,” she wrote, setting the scene for what unfolded.
