Greater Gardendale Water Supply Corporation says the water may be back on but people will still need to boil their water until further notice or until Tuesday.
GARDENDALE, Texas — The Greater Gardendale Water Supply Corporation has issued a boil water notice for all Gardendale residents on Saturday until further notice or until at least Tuesday at 12 p.m..
The boil water notice is due to a main line break Saturday morning.
Below is what GGWSC said in the press release:
“Due to a leak on one of our major lines, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Greater Gardendale Water Supply Corporation – PWS #0680214, a public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).
