Gallipolis City Schools Superintendent announces developments in Gallia Academy Stadium and STEM Project [Video]

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSAZ) – Construction crews will soon break ground on a new health and wellness facility on the campus of Gallia Academy High School. Gallipolis City Schools Superintendent Craig Wright says it is the most recent development in the Gallia Academy Stadium and STEM Project.

“The governor approved the Appalachian Community Grant which was $2.6 million for a wellness facility,” Wright said. “As part of this project, we were able to add concessions and restrooms as well so it will kind of encompass the stadium.”

Wright says the health and wellness facility will be staffed by Holzer Health System, Hopewell Health Centers, Health Recovery Systems and personnel from within the district. It will offer on-site medical care, optical and dental services, and behavior health services for the GAHS students, staff, and the community.
