GADSDEN, Ala. (WBRC) – The Gadsden State Community College Police Department is partnering with the Gadsden Police Department to get drugs off your streets and keep you safe.
Tena King with the city of Gadsden says this initiative is about taking a proactive step to reduce drug activity within the city.
“We just want them to help us be additional staff, eyes, ears, feet, hands, whatever that can help us to get the drugs off of our streets,” said King.
Joining forces with GPD’s Street Crimes and Narcotics Unit, this proactive step will address the growing concerns of illegal drug activity and trafficking.
“It’ll give us more people helping us work these cases. They have facilities that are in places in communities across the city that reaches. They have more eyes that can help us see stuff that we may not be seeing,” said Jacob Entrekin.
