Funeral for youth hockey player set for Friday at Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis [Video]

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The funeral mass for a young hockey player whose death has shocked and saddened the community will be held Friday at Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.

The Mass of Christian Burial for 16-year-old Colin Brown will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at the Cathedral Basilica. A memorial visitation is set for 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Christian Brothers College High School, 1850 De La Salle Drive, St. Louis.

Following the untimely death of Brown, the community has rallied in his memory.

On Saturday his team, the Christian Brothers College High School Cadets, took to the ice for the first time following his death. Just before the varsity game, the St. Louis Blues held a moment of silence in Brown’s honor before facing off against the Philadelphia Flyers.
