Funding from grants to help Buffalo PAL programs [Video]

The Police Athletic League of Buffalo shared on Saturday the funding will support popular programs.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Police Athletic League of Buffalo announced on Saturday that it’s set to receive $100,000 in funding for its popular Sports Sampling Saturdays program for the 2024-2025 year.

The announcement came during Buffalo PAL’s end-of-year Sports Sampling Saturday Holiday Party, with several community partners showing their support for the initiative

“Ensuring that all young people, regardless of their abilities and background, have access to sports and cultural activities is part of my administration’s commitment to inclusivity,” Acting Mayor Chris Scanlon said in a statement.

“The $100,000 in grant support towards the Police Athletic League of Buffalo’s Sports Sampling Saturdays and Passport to the World Club will continue to provide a safe space for our young people to learn about teamwork, collaboration and leadership, while fostering a sense of appreciation for other cultures.
