Friends, family seek justice nearly months after deadly shooting [Video]

“She didn’t deserve this,” said Tinayia Henderson in an interview with WUSA9 Tuesday night. 

“It hurts knowing every day that there’s no answer for her. There’s no answer for Diego,” she said.

Henderson told WUSA9 that Conejero-Romera was her best friend. “Mijal was my best friend, more like a sister to me,” she explained. 

She said Conejero-Romera loved her family deeply and prioritized them.

“Everything she did was for her parents. She was very family-oriented,” said Henderson.

She said she was the type of person who was always there for everyone else.

“She was always there to make sure you’re okay, even if she wasn’t okay, she wanted to make sure you were okay,” said Henderson.
