Red and white wines from a Charlottesville-area winery helped welcome guests to a Master Chefs of France conference in Washington, D.C., this past weekend.
Tracey Love, who handles sales, events and marketing for Dave Matthews-owned Blenheim Vineyards, and fellow Oenoverse wine club co-founder Reggie Leonard were on hand to pour Blenheim’s 2021 grüner veltliner and 2022 cabernet franc for guests at the residence of Laurent Bili, France’s ambassador to the United States, during Sunday’s part of the festivities. The chefs’ gathering continued through Tuesday at Washington’s Ritz-Carlton.
“Blenheim was very generous, and very happy to participate,” Guy Reuge, member of the Master Chefs of France, told The Daily Progress. “It’s a prestigious event.”
Reuge said the event was expected to draw accomplished chefs from throughout North America. Well-known chefs in the Master Chefs of France members include Eric Ripert and Daniel Boulud.
