Free IndyGo rides on Election Day [Video]

AARP Indiana and the IndyGo Foundation are coming together to help make it easier to make your voice heard.

INDIANAPOLIS — Bus fares for IndyGo will once again be waived on Election Day to help voters in Indianapolis. 

AARP Indiana and the IndyGo Foundation are taking care of fares on Tuesday, Nov. 5 for both fixed route and IndyGo Access services. 

“Encouraging people to use their right to vote is a cornerstone of AARP Indiana’s work in Indianapolis and throughout the state,” said Addison Pollock, AARP Indiana director of community engagement. “We’re excited to partner once again with IndyGo to provide free fare to riders on Election Day to help make it a little easier for Hoosiers to get to the polls.” 

AARP has been helping those over the age of 50 get to the polls for years. They also share information on election deadlines, voting locations and methods.
