Free haircuts and school supplies given out by Faded Barber Lounge [Video]

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – In Chicopee, a variety of free services and giveaways took place on Sunday to ensure children start the school year with confidence.

This marked the third year that owner of Faded Barber Lounge, Ricardo Diaz, hosted the event.

Not only did the event feature free haircuts and manicures for incoming students, but also free backpacks, school supplies, food, and snacks.

Diaz emphasized that the event would not be able to take place without the sponsors, and he is grateful to be able to give back to the community of Chicopee.

“It’s been only twenty minutes and the park is full, it’s going to be a great turnout,” Diaz said. “I’m so proud that we’re going to send these kids with a boost of energy and self esteem.
