One man was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following Sunday’s stabbing.
PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a stabbing that happened on Sunday and has made an arrest.
Officers were called to the scene in the 1000 block of Frederick Boulevard at about 8:40 a.m., according to a press release from the police department. They found a man suffering from a stab wound that was not deemed life-threatening. They transported him to a hospital.
Officers have arrested Deaquan V. Johnson, 29. He is in custody and is charged with attempted murder, malicious wounding and unlawful stabbing.
Police have not said what led up to the stabbing.
