BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Dozens of young entrepreneurs participated in the fourth annual Young Entrepreneurs Makers Market in Broken Arrow on Sunday.
The market, held at Forest Ridge Golf Club’s Glass Veranda, is a community event designed to “empower the next generation of dreamers, showcase local talent and inspire innovation,” the announcement said.
Kids under the age of 18 had the chance to sell various goods from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and experience what it feels like to have customers.
FOX23 attended Sunday’s event where the young entrepreneurs were selling goods like pastries, drinks and popcorn.
Broken Arrow Mayor Debra Wimpee said she attends the event every year.
“I come each year, and we leave with a lot of great stuff,” she said.
Wimpee said the Young Entrepreneurs Makers Market makes a powerful difference to the community.
