Former ESPN NFL analyst ‘closes in on new role’ over a year after he was brutally cut by sports network [Video]

FORMER ESPN star Todd McShay is nearing a move to The Ringer, according to reports.

The analyst, 47, was let go by ESPN last June amid several layoffs made by the company.

He has since appeared as a guest on The Ryen Russilo Podcast.

And the pair could now become colleagues full time.

According to the New York Post, McShay is in “serious talks” with The Ringer.

Earlier this week during an appearance on Russilo’s show, the pair hinted at future collaborations.

But a deal has not yet been finalized, per the Post.

McShay covered both the NFL and college football while with ESPN, having joined the network in 2006.

He boasts more than 700,000 followers on X, and is considered an NFL draft expert.

He was let go last summer alongside some of ESPN’s biggest names.
